Required to sell

Stripe

Take payments

Without it: Buy buttons stay hidden, so nobody can pay you.

Your buyers pay straight into your own Stripe account. You give The Creator Funnel a restricted key (a key that can only do the few things listed below), and we do the rest, including the link Stripe uses to tell us an order was paid.

Steps

  1. 1Choose test or live

Start in test mode if you want to try a purchase with Stripe's test card first: no real money moves. Switch to live mode when you are ready to sell. Each mode has its own keys, so you repeat the next two steps once for live.

In Stripe, test mode lives in a sandbox: use the account menu at the top left of the Stripe dashboard to switch between your sandbox and your live account.

In your dashboard you fill in: Mode.

  2. 2Create a restricted key

On the API keys page press Create restricted key, choose to start from zero permissions and name it after this website. Set exactly the permissions below and leave everything else on None, then press Create key. Stripe asks for a verification code and then shows the key once: copy it.

  3. 3Paste your keys

Paste the restricted key (it starts with rk_) and the publishable key from the same page (it starts with pk_). Press Save and test: we check the key straight away and tell you exactly what to change if something is missing.

    Open Stripe API keys

In your dashboard you fill in: Restricted key (test, starts rk_test_); Publishable key (test, starts pk_test_).

  4. 4Payment notifications

When you save your key we add a notifications link to your Stripe account, so Stripe tells us the moment an order is paid or refunded. You do not need to do anything here unless it shows a problem.

  5. 5Done

That's it. Products you create in Stripe from the Products screen now show a Buy button. For live sales, switch to live mode and paste your live keys the same way.

Do it by hand

Only if the automatic step above did not work, or you chose a sending-only key.

Add the notifications link yourself

Only needed if your key has no Webhook Endpoints permission. In Stripe open Webhooks, press Create an event destination, choose Your account, select the events below, choose Webhook endpoint and paste the endpoint address below. On the destination's page press Reveal secret, copy the secret (it starts with whsec_) and paste it here.

Endpoint address: shown in your dashboard Events to select: shown in your dashboard

In your dashboard you fill in: Signing secret (test, starts whsec_).

In your dashboard: Settings → Connections → Stripe → Set up. Provider steps checked Oct 31, 2026.
